Staff Selection Commission, SSC Stenographer Recruitment Notification 2019, is released for the post of stenographer all over India. Applications are invited from eligible candidates before 18th October 2019.

Age Limit :-
Stenographer Grade ‘C’ – 18 to 30 years
Stenographer Grade ‘D’- 18 to 27 years
Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC & 5 years for SC/ST candidates will be there.
Age relaxation for PWD / Ex-servicemen as per government guidelines.
Educational Qualification :-
The candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognised institute or university or board.

Application fees- Rs.100 ( no fees for women & for SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen )
Selection will be on the basis of online aptitude test ( objective type), followed by Skill test for stenography.
Online test , will be of 2 hours, and 200 marks , consisting of General Intelligence and reasoning, General awareness and English Language. The online test will be conducted between 5th May 2020 to 7th May 2020.
The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment of different posts for various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India. The details of the examination are as under:

Educational Qualification :- 10th Standard Passed or Matriculation Examination from recognized Board or University.
Negative marking 1/4th or 0.25 marks will be there for each wrong answer.
Tier-2 Examination: ( Descriptive Paper )
Exam is descriptive type and will be conducted offline (pen & paper mode).
It will be a test of essay or letter writing in English or any other official Indian State languages.
Exam carries 50 marks and exam duration will be 30 hour.
Tier 2 is qualifying in nature.

Typing Test: Candidates, who are opting English typing, should have typing speed of 35 words per minute and those candidates who are opting Hindi typing should have typing speed of 30 words per minute. Typing test will be applicable for Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, LDC and Court Clerk posts.
Skill Test: Data Entry Speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour on computer. Skill test will be applicable only for Data Entry Operator post

(3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates and 5 years relaxation for SC /ST candidates.)
Educational Qualification-
Junior Engineer (Civil) – Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized University or Institution.
Junior Engineer (Mechanical) – Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from recognized University or Institution.
Junior Engineering (Electrical) – Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from recognized University or Institution.

In Paper I or paper II for General Engineering, the candidate will be required to attempt only the part as per option given in the application form filled by the candidate.
There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper -I. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind this in mind while answering the questions.
Candidates are allowed to bring their own Slide-Rule, Calculator, Logarithm Tables and Steam table for Paper-II only. They are not allowed to use such aids for Paper-1.
Based on the normalized marks scored in the (Paper-1) i.e Computer Based Examination, candidates will be shortlisted, category wise, to appear in Paper-II.
Based on the performance in paper I + paper II, candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification.
Salary Emoluments –
These posts are group ‘B’ (Non-Gazatted), in Level -6 (Rs 35400-112400/-) of pay matrix of 7th Central Pay Commission.
