SAIL Recruitment Notification 2019 is declared for different posts of Technicians.  SAIL, Bokaro Steel Plant invites online applications from energetic, result oriented, promising and talented youth for the following posts for its existing & modernisation units.

SAIL,  Steel Authority of India Ltd,  a Maharatna Company, and a leading steel-making company in India with a turnover of Rs. 66,967crores (FY 2018-19) is in the process of modernizing and expanding its production units, captive mines and other facilities to maintain its dominant position in the Indian steel market. The recruitment details are as follows.

Post :- Operator cum Technician (Trainee) / Operator-cum-Technician(Boiler) / Attendant-cum-Technician Trainee(AITT)

Total No of Vacancies :- 463

Eligibility :-

Age Limit :-

Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) – upto 28 years

Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler) – upto 30 years

Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee) (AITT) – upto 28 years

Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC & 5 years for SC/ST candidates will be there.

Age relaxation for PWD / Ex-servicemen as per government guidelines.

Educational Qualification :-

1. Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) – Matriculation & Three years full time Diploma in Engineering from Govt. recognized institute in Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Chemical, Ceramics & Instrumentation discipline.
2. Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler) – Matriculation and 3 years full time Diploma in engineering from Govt. recognized Institute with 1stClass Certificate of Boiler Competency.
3. Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee) (AITT) – Matriculation and passed All India Trade Test conducted by NCVT, Govt. of India after completing the stipulated period of training as Trade Apprentices in an Integrated Steel Plant

Selection Procedure-

Eligible candidates for the above posts will be required to appear in Written Examination. The minimum qualifying marks in Written Examination will be determined based on 50 percentile score (for UR Category) and 40 percentile score (for SC/ ST/ OBC (NCL) & PWD candidates. Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for Skill Test / Trade Test in the ratio of 1:3. Skill Test / Trade Test will be only qualifying in nature and the final merit list of candidates who qualify the Skill Test / Trade Test will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination only.

The written test will comprise of a total 100 questions which are to be attempted in 90 mins. The test will consist of 50 questions for post related relevant subject. And the remaining questions will be based on General English, Mathematics and reasoning. Please see the official SAIL Notification for the exam format.

Training & Probation-

There will be training and probation for one year for Operator cum Technician Boiler post, and for two years for the post of Operator cum Technician Trainee, and Attendant cum Technician Trainee’s post. After successful completion of training, they will be regularised.

Salary/ Emoluments-

During the training period the salary/stipend will vary from Rs.10700 to Rs.12000 per month. After successfully completion of training and confirmation the total gross salary will be approx. Rs.24000 per month including all different government allowances.
