Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruananthpuram, which is a part of ISRO, Indian Space Research Organization working under the Government of India, Department of Space has requirement for 63 vacancies.

Selection Procedure-

Selection process consists of written test and skill test. Written test will be conducted first and candidates will be shortlisted further on the basis of their scores in written test for the further Skill test.

Written test will be conducted to test both theoretical and practical knowledge of the candidate.

Skill test will be qualifying in nature, and candidate will be required to score minimum 60% on a scale of 100.

The final selection will be done purely on the basis of scores obtained in the written test.

 

Salary/ Emoluments-

Monthly salary will be approximately Rs.59000/-Per Month including all the government allowances.

There will be an initial screening, based on the academic performance and other parameters given in the on-line application and only those screened-in candidates will be called for Written Test. The written test will be conducted in such a way that theoretical and practical knowledge of the candidate is tested covering both breadth and depth of the prescribed curriculum. Selection Procedure-

BE/B.Tech or equivalent qualification in first class with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be short-listed to appear in the Written Test, which is scheduled to be conducted on 12.01.2020 at twelve venues viz., Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram. However, ICRB reserves its rights to prescribe a higher cut-off on need basis. ICRB also reserves its rights to cancel any written test centre and re-allot the candidates to any other test centre. The call letters for the written test to the short-listed candidates will be sent only by e-mail during last week of December, 2019. The written test paper consists of 80 objective type questions carrying equal marks. Based on the performance in the Written Test, candidates will be short-listed for interview, the schedule and venue of which will be notified by e-mail. Written test is only a first level screening and written test score will not be considered for final selection process. Final selection will be based on the performance of the candidates in the Interview and those who secure minimum 60% marks in the interview will be eligible for consideration for empanelment, in the order of merit.

Salary/ Emoluments-

Selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in Level 10 of Pay Matrix and will be paid minimum basic pay of Rs. 56,100/- p.m. In addition, Dearness Allowance [DA], House Rent Allowance [HRA] and Transport Allowance are payable as per extant rules on the subject. The employees will be governed by the New Pension Scheme. Further medical facilities for self and dependents, subsidised canteen, limited quarters facility (in lieu of HRA), Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance, House Building Advance etc are admissible as per Central Government orders.

Selection Procedure-

There will be an initial screening, based on the academic performance and other parameters provided by the candidates/ applicants in the on-line applications and only those screened-in candidates will be called for Written test to be held in Bengaluru only. Candidates those who qualify based on the performance/ parameters set by HSFC in the written test and taking into consideration of number of vacancies notified, will have to appear for skill test which will be held in Bengaluru only.

The final selection will be done amongst qualified candidates, purely based on the scores obtained by them in the written test. From amongst candidates who qualify in the Skill test, with minimum 60% marks, empanelment shall be done in the order of marks obtained in the written test. Skill test, will be purely on ‘go-no-go’ basis and marks obtained in the skill test shall not be considered for final selection [Skill test is a qualification criteria, wherein the candidate obtaining minimum 60% as go (qualified) and less than 60% as no-go (not qualified)]. In case of a tie in written test scores, the academic scores of the notified qualification(s) shall be the tie breaker.

Note: The written test will be conducted for the screened-in candidates in Bengaluru only.

Salary/ Emoluments-

For technician B or Draughtsman B, gross salary will be approximately Rs.21700 plus DA & for Technical Assistant Post, gross salary will be approximately Rs.44900 plus DA.

The employees appointed will be governed by the National Pension System. In addition to the Gross emoluments specified, ISRO provides free transport (or Transport Allowance), limited housing facility (or House Rent Allowance), advances for purchase of conveyance, construction of house, etc., Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance, etc., and extends subsidized canteen facilities. ISRO also provides attractive medical benefits to its employees and eligible dependents.
