Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) has declared a short notice for the tentative exam dates and other process of recruitment of Junior Engineer ( JE) of several departments , Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) , & Chemical and metallurgical Assistant (CMA).
To know the exam city and date for your application, the link will be published on the official RRB website very soon, and candidates will also be informed through their registered mobile number and e-mail ID.
E- call letter will be available and can be downloaded 4 days prior to actual exam.
Mock test link for first stage CBT will be available on 12th May 2019.
CBT 1 will start all over India from 22nd May 2019 onwards.
Candidates are requested to visit official RRB website regularly for the updates.
Indian Railways has declared notification for the 14033 vacancies for the posts of Junior Engineer and other posts.
Vacancy and eligibility details are as follows-
Eligibility –
Age limit – 18 to 33 years
3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates and 5 years relaxation for SC /ST candidates.
There will be age relaxation for PWD candidates and Ex- Servicemen also.
Educational Qualification –
Junior Engineer ( 13034 posts ) – diploma or degree in any discipline of engineering.
Junior Engineer ( Information Technology -49 posts ) – Bsc ( Computer Science) or BCA or BE or BTech ( Computer Science or Information Technology) or DOECC ‘B’ level
Depot Material Superintendent ( DMS – 456 Posts ) – Diploma or Degree in Engineering
Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant ( CMA – 494 Posts ) – BSc with physics and Chemistry with minimum 45 %.
Important Dates –
Application Starts on – 2nd January 2019
Application Ends – 31st January 2019
Examination date ( Phase- 1 CBT ) – Tentatively in April – May 2019
Mode of Payment – Online as well as Offline through SBI Chalan
Application Fees – Rs. 500 ( Rs. 400 will be refunded from this after the candidate appears for Phase 1.
Application fees for SC / ST / PWD is Rs.250 , and entire amount refundable after appearing for Phase 1.
For any correction after submission of the form, candidate need to pay Rs.250 again for the correction. So, Please fill up the form carefully.

Selection Process –
The selection process includes, computer based tests at Phase -1 and Phase – 2 followed by document verification and medical tests, wherever applicable.
Phase – 1, CBT, the exam is common for all the posts.

There is 1/3rd negative marking for every wrong answer. And the paper will not be section wise, it will mixture of all above subjects. Actual question distribution may vary.

1. Mathematics :
Number systems, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM and HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square Root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern.
2.General Intelligence and Reasoning :
Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision Making, Similarities and Differences, Analytical reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions etc.
3.General Awareness :
Knowledge of Current affairs, Indian geography, culture and history of India including freedom struggle, Indian Polity and constitution, Indian Economy, Environmental issues concerning India and the World, Sports, General scientific and technological developments etc.
4.General Science :
Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences (up to 10th Standard CBSE syllabus)
