RBI Assistant Recruitment 2026

RBI Assistant Recruitment notification 2026 is out..!! Reserve Bank of India has released notification for the post of Assistant. Applications are invited from eligible and interested candidates.

Total No of Vacancies :- 650

Eligibility for RBI Assistant  Recruitment 2026 :-

Age Limit :-

20 to 28 years

Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC & 5 years for SC/ST candidates will be there.

Age relaxation for PWD / Ex-servicemen as per government guidelines.

Educational Qualification :-

Any Graduation/Bachelor’s Degree with Minimum 50% marks ( Pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates)

Selection Procedure for RBI Assistant Recruitment 2026-

Selection process is divided in three phases as below –

PHASE I – Preliminary Exam

Exam strucutre (Tentative)

Sections No of Questions Marks Duration
English Language 30 30 20 minutes
Numerical Ability 35 35 20 minutes
Reasoning Ability 35 35 20 minutes
Total 100 100 1 hour

 

Negative Marking – 1/4th or 0.25 marks

There will be sectional cut offs and overall cutoffs , so scoring high in one or two particular sections will not be enough. You need to perform well in every section at least till the cut off level.

Preliminary exam is just elimination round to get selected further for mains. Only the people who clear Pre exam round will get shortlisted for the next round of mains exam. The list of shortlisted candidate will be available on the website, and only these candidates will get the call letter/admit card for the mains.

Scores obtained in preliminary exam will not be counted further.

PHASE II – Mains Examination

The mains exam format is unchanged, and it is exactly similar to what it was last year.

Exam will be conducted in the month of December 2026
