Age Limit :-

upto 27 years

Educational Qualification :-

Full Time Regular 3 Years Diploma in Civil / Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication/Power Engineering  from recognized Technical Board/ Institute with minimum 70% marks for General / OBC(NCL) / EWS candidates and pass marks for SC/ST.

Selection Procedure Powergrid Recruitment Notification 2022

Only Written Test/Computer Based Test shall be conducted.  The Written Test shall be of Objective type (each question shall have four options) of two hours duration consisting of two parts –

(a) Part-I consists of Technical Knowledge Test/Professional Knowledge Test (TKT/PKT) with 120 questions having specific questions from respective discipline.

(b) Part-II consists of Aptitude Test (AT) with 50 questions on vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, data sufficiency & interpretation, numerical ability etc.

All questions would be MCQ type with 4 options and carry equal weightage (1 mark each). Wrong & multiple answers would result in negative marks of ¼. Candidates shall have the option for appearing in the Written Test in Hindi or English.

 

Salary/ Emoluments-

The Corporation offers a very attractive pay package and is one of the best in the industry. Selected candidates will be paid Rs. 27,500/- per month as a stipend during the one-year training period. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Junior Engineer Gr-IV (S1) in the Supervisory category in the pay scale of Rs. 25,000 –3%- 1,17,500 (IDA).

On regularization, the Compensation package includes Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance, Perquisites and Allowance as per cafeteria approach, Performance Related Pay, Company Quarters or HRA, Reimbursement of monthly conveyance expenditure, mobile facility, Provident Fund, Gratuity, Pension & Leave encashment, Group Insurance, Personal Accident Insurance etc.

Service Agreement Bond-

The selected candidates on training will be required to execute a service agreement bond of Rs.2,50,000/- for General and OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates and Rs.1,25,000/- for SC/ST/PwBD candidates for serving the Corporation for a minimum period of three years after completion of training successfully.

Weightage components for final merit list will be as follows-

GATE 2018 score – 85%

Group Discussion – 3 %

Salary / Emoluments-

Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.40,000/–3%-140000(IDA) during the one-year training period. They shall be paid a stipend in the form of Basic Pay of Rs. 40,000/-alongwith IDA, HRA and Perks @12% of basic pay during training period. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Engineers in E2 scale -Rs. 50,000/-3%-1, 60,000/-(IDA).

Service Agreement Bond

The selected candidates will be required to execute a service agreement bond to successfully complete the prescribed training period and thereafter serve the organization for at least three years. The amount of the bond is INR5,00,000/-plus applicable taxes for General/OBC (NCL) candidates andINR2,50,000/-plus applicable taxes for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
