Mazgaon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd, Mumbai has invited applications from eligible Indian candidates for the post of Trade Apprentice. The details are as below.

Post :-

Group A – Draughtsman ( Mechanical) , Electrician, Fitter , Pipe Fitter , Structural Fitter.

Group B –  I.C.T.C.M. , Electronic Mechanic, Carpenter, Fitter Structural

Group C – Welder ( Gas & Electric )

Total No of Vacancies :- 445

Eligibility :-

Age Limit :-

Group A – 15 to 19 years ( General Category/ Unreserved )

Group B – 16 to 21 years ( General Category/ Unreserved )

Group C – 14 to 18 years ( General Category/ Unreserved )

Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC & 5 years for SC/ST candidates will be there.

10 Years Extension for PWD / Ex-servicemen

Educational Qualification :-

1. Group A – The candidate should have Passed SSC with minimum 50 % in FIRST ATTEMPT with General Science & Mathematics. ( Pass class for SC / ST )
2. Group B – The candidate should have Passed ITI in relevant subject with minimum 50 % in FIRST ATTEMPT ( Pass class for SC/ST)

• Group C – The candidate should have Passed 8^th Standard with minimum 50 % in FIRST ATTEMPT with General Science & Mathematics. ( Pass class for SC / ST )

Important Dates :-

Application Starts on :-  17^th July 2019

Last Date of Application :- 31^st July 2019

Online exam Date :-  2^nd August 2019

 

Selection Procedure-

Selection for Apprenticeship will be completed in Three Stages,

First Stage i.e. Online Examination (Computer based test): -only Eligible Candidates in Group A, B & C will be called for Online Examination (Computer based examination). The Online Examination will consist 100 Number of Multiple Choice questions based on the below mentioned syllabus of Minimum Qualification of respective Groups (i.e. Class 10th Pass for Group A, ITI Pass for Group B & Class 8th Pass for Group C) and Examination will be of 2 Hours duration. Examination center will be in Mumbai only. Please check the official notification carefully for the exam structure.

Second Stage will be of Medical Examination & Document Verification:-For this the candidates securing maximum marks (each Group & Category wise) in Online Exam would only be called for Medical Examination & Document Verification, Schedule for Eligible Candidates in Group A, B & C will be declared with the result of online examination.

Third Stage will be Trade Allotment; for which selected candidates after Medical Examination & Document Verification would only be called in Order of merit marks obtained in the Online Exam and at the time of allotment will be informed regarding availability / vacancy of their choice as per group & category wise merit order. In case of absenteeism or non-acceptance of available merit seat, candidature will be rejected immediately & next available candidate in the order of merit will be called.

Salary/ Stipend & Training –

Stipend paid during the training period to the apprentice is between Rs.7577 to Rs.9742 depending on the group A/B/C.
