Indian post has declared vacancies for Maharashtra Circle.  Applications are invited by the respective recruiting authorities from eligible candidates for the selection and engagement to the following posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks all over Maharashtra.

Eligibility for Indian Post Recruitment 2021 :-

Age Limit :-

18 to 40 years

Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC & 5 years for SC/ST candidates will be there.

Age relaxation for PWD / Ex-servicemen as per government guidelines.

Educational Qualification :-

SSC/ 10th Pass from recognised board + computer knowledge certificate + Knowledge of Marathi Language is mandatory for application in Maharashtra Circle posts.

Selection Procedure for Indian Post Recruitment 2021-

The candidates will be selected purely on the basis of their marks obtained in 10th Standard certificate. Candidates with higher qualification will not have any extra weightage in merit list.

Job Responsibilities of Dak Sevak-

The Job Profile of Dak Sevaks will include all functions of viz sale of stamps and stationery, conveyance and delivery of mail and any other duties assigned by Postmaster/Sub Postmaster including IPPB work in the Departmental Post Offices/RMS. However, the work performed for IPPB will not be included in calculation of TRCA, since the same is being done on incentive basis.He may also have to assist Post Masters/Sub Postmasters in managing the smooth
functioning of Departmental Post Offices and do marketing, business procurement or any other work assigned by the Post Master or IPO/ASPO/SPOs/SSPOs/SRM/SSRM and other Supervising authorities. In Railway Mail Services (RMS), GDS has to handle the work related to RMS, like, closing/opening of bags, transport of bags from one place to other manually and any other works allotted by the RMS authorities.

Salary for Indian Post Recruitment 2021

Initial starting salary will be around Rs.14,500 with different government allowances.

Indian Post Recruitment 2020 Notification is announced..!!  Indian Post has invited application from eligible candidates for common recruitment process for the recruitment in Maharashtra Circle.

Post:- Postman / Mail Guard / Multi Tasking Staff

No of vacancies :- 1371

 

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Post Recruitment 2020:-

Age limit –  

Postman/ Mail Guard – 18 to 27 years

Multi Tasking Staff – 18 to 25 years

Age relaxation for SC/ST 5 Years, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) 3  Years, PWD 10 Years, Ex-Servicemen 5 Years.

Educational Qualification – 

For Postman / Mail Guard – 12th / HSC pass from recognised board

For Multi Tasking Staff – 10th Pass from recognised board

Knowledge of Computer is required and same will be tested in Paper III of the test.

Note- Candidate must have studied Marathi Language as one of the subject till 10th standard, and there will be a test of Marathi ( Paper II) for candidates applying in Maharashtra Circle (Maharashtra & Goa).

Selection Procedure for Indian Post Recruitment 2020-

Selection process consists of 3 phases as follows

Paper I – Computer Based Test

The structure of the Paper I(objective type) which will be conducted online is as follows:

 Paper III – Skill Test

Duration – 20 minutes

Paper III is a skill test of 40 marks for Data Entry skills, ( 2000 key depression in 20 minutes)

 

Salary –

Starting salary for Postman / Mail Guard – Rs.21700

Starting salary for Multi Tasking Staff – Rs.18000
