Indian Oil Corporation Limited, the largest commercial undertaking in India and a Fortune “Global 500” Company, as a measure of Skill Building Initiative for the Nation, proposes to engage Apprentices at its Operating Locations in Western India in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli. Applications are invited from candidates meeting the following qualification & other parameters for engagement as Apprentices under Apprentices Act, 1961/1973

Posts – Trade Apprentice ( Fitter / Electrician/ Electronics Mechanic / Instrument Mechanic / Accountant ) &

Technician Apprentice ( Mechanical / Electronics / Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Civil / Instrumentation )

Number of Vacancies – 392

Eligibility –

Age limit – 18 to 24 years

(3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates and 5 years relaxation for SC /ST candidates.)

Educational Qualification –

Trade Apprentice ( Fitter / Electrician/ Electronics Mechanic / Instrument Mechanic )- 10^th + 2 years ITI course in relevant field required for the mentioned post

Trade Apprentice ( Accountant ) – graduation in any discipline

Technician Apprentice ( Mechanical / Electronics / Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Civil / Instrumentation ) – 3 years diploma in engineering in relevant field required for the mentioned post.

Selection Process –

Selections for engagement of Apprentices would be based on written test and personal interview. The written Test will be of ninety minutes duration & would carry a weightage of 85%. The maximum weightage for interview will be 15%.
The candidates will have to qualify successfully through each stage of the selection process i.e. Written Test and Personal Interview (Minimum 40%, relaxable by 5% for candidates from SC/ST/PwBD Categories against reserved positions) and Pre-employment medical fitness for being adjudged suitable for engagement.
Candidates are advised to ensure that they are medically fit as per IndianOil’s pre-employment medical standard. Candidates are advised to go through the “Guidelines and Criteria for Physical Fitness for Pre-employment medical Examination” before they commence the application process. Candidates need to select the refinery location and their desired trade ( based on their qualification carefully )

Selection Process –

Selection will be on the basis of marks obtained in written test of 2 hours based on aptitude and technical knowledge followed by interview and document verification.

Weightage for written test and interview is 85% and 15 % respectively.

Apprentice Period – Apprentice period will differ from 12 to 24 months depending on different post.
