Indian Navy invites application for the post of Tradesman Mate classified as under group C.  Selected candidates normally will have to serve in the units under the administrative control of respective commands, however they can be posted anywhere in India.

Posts – Tradesman Mate

Number of Vacancies – 554 ( 502 in Mumbai , Head Quarter Western Naval Command )

Eligibility –

Age limit – 18 to 25 years

(3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates and 5 years relaxation for SC /ST candidates.)

 

Educational Qualification –

10th Standard Pass + ITI Certificate

Important Dates –

Application Starts on – 2nd March 2019

Application Ends –  15th   March 2019

Selection Process –

Indian Navy will first do the screening of all application for required eligibility, and the eligible shortlisted candidate will be called for the online test.

The online test will be objective type test of 100 marks and will be based on following subjects.

  • Genral Intelligence & Reasoning
  • Numerical Aptitude
  • General English
  • General Awareness

Indian Navy has released its notification in employment news for recruitment of 3400 vacancies for following posts, namely, Senior Secondary Recruit, Artificer Apprentice and Matric Recruit.

Post– Senior Secondary Recruit ( SSR )

Number of Posts– 2500

Educational Qualification– HSC/ 12th science with Maths and Physics as compulsory subjects

Age Limit – 17 to 21 years

Post– Artificer Apprentice ( AA )

Number of Posts– 500

Educational Qualification  – HSC/ 12th science  with minimum 60% with Maths and Physics as compulsory subjects

Age Limit – 17 to 20 years

Post– Matric Recruit ( MR )

Number of Posts– 400

Educational Qualification– SSC/ 10th Pass from any recognised board

Note – Candidate needs to register first to create login, and later on you can apply to posts depending on your eligibility.

Selection Process–

  1. Computer Based Test ( CBT) – Selection Process for all above posts will include Computer Based Test of 100 marks, which will have subjects like Maths, Physics, English and General Awareness. One mark for each correct answer and penalty of 1/3rd mark is given for each wrong answer.
  2. Physical Fitness Test ( PFT ). Link for syllabus and exam format already shared above.

Stipend and salary –

There will be stipend of Rs.14600 per month for all the posts during training period. After the completion of the training period the pay will be in the range of Rs.60000 and more depending on different posts mentioned above.
