Post – Executive Engineer trainee

Number of Vacancies – 50

Eligibility –

Age limit – upto 28 years

(3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates and 5 years relaxation for SC /ST candidates.)

Educational Qualification –

Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) from recognized University/ Institute in Electrical / Electronics / EXTC/ Civil / Telecommunication/ Power engineering etc along with valid GATE 2019 score

Selection Process –

The Selection Process consists of marks obtained (out of 100) in the relevant paper of GATE 2019, Group Discussion & Personal Interview. Eligible candidates should have qualified and secured a valid score in the corresponding paper of GATE 2019. Candidates shall be short-listed category-wise for Group Discussion & Personal Interview based on their normalized marks out of 100 in GATE 2019.Candidates shall obtain information about their status through their login at the POWERGRID Online Application System. Shortlisted candidates shall be able to download their interview call letter and other relevant documents through the candidate login.

Weightage components for final merit list will be as follows-

GATE 2018 score – 85%

Group Discussion – 3 %

Interview – 12 %

 

Salary / Emoluments-

The Corporation offers a very attractive pay package and is one of the best in the Industry. Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.40,000/–3%-140000(IDA) during the one-year training period. They shall be paid a stipend in the form of Basic Pay of Rs. 40,000/-alongwith IDA, HRA and Perks @12% of basic pay during training period. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Engineers in E2 scale -Rs. 50,000/-3%-1, 60,000/-(IDA).

Service Agreement Bond

The selected candidates will be required to execute a service agreement bond to successfully complete the prescribed training period and thereafter serve the organization for at least three years. The amount of the bond is INR5,00,000/-plus applicable taxes for General/OBC (NCL) candidates andINR2,50,000/-plus applicable taxes for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Selection Process –

GAIL will be utilizing Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering –2019score (GATE-2019–Score) for recruitment of Executive Trainees in the disciplines of Chemical &Instrumentation during the year 2019. Eligible candidates who wish to apply for the position of Executive Traineesin GAIL will be required to first apply for GATE-2019and thereafter, appear in GATE-2019as per instructions and timelines notified by GATE-2019.

Placement/ Assignments

During the Training-cum-Probation period and/or after absorption, the candidates may be posted at any of the installations/ projects/ offices etc. of GAIL (India) Limited or any of the subsidiaries/ Joint Venturesof GAIL (India) Limited or deputed to any Department of Governmentof India/other PSUs etc. The selected candidates may be assigned jobs/functions/assignments as per the business requirements of the company including shift operations

Salary / Emoluments-

Salary -Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.60,000–1,80,000/-at the Basic Pay of Rs.60,000/-during one year training cum probation as Executive Trainee in E-2 grade. On successful completion of their Training cum Probation Period, they will be absorbed in the same Pay Scale of Rs.60,000 –1,80,000/-in E-2 grade.
