Selection Procedure for General Insurance Corporation Recruitment 2024
Phase I – Written Examination
Main examination will consist of objective tests for 200 marks and descriptive test for 30 marks. Both the objective and descriptive test will be online. Candidates will have to answer descriptive test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of objective test, descriptive test will be administered.
- Objective Test:- The Objective test of 2 hours 30 minutes duration consists of 4 sections (Generalist) and 5 sections (Specialists).

- Descriptive Test:- The descriptive test of 30 min duration with 30 marks will be a Test of English Language ( Essay, Precis and Comprehension). The Descriptive test will be in English and will be conducted through online mode.
Phase II – Interview
Candidates who have been shortlisted at the end of phase –II will subsequently called for an Interview to be conducted by the company, up to the three times no of vacancies of respective stream/category. Interview will be conducted at selected centres. The Weightage (ratio) of online examination and interview will be 80:20 respectively.
Final Selection :- Final Selection will be based on consolidated marks of mains examination (Objective test )& Interview.
Salary for Administrative Officer’s post
The basic pay is Rs.50925 per month, Total Gross Salary is approximately Rs. 85000 Per month in metro cities.
