Educational Qualification –
Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.
Age limit –
20 to 30 years ( for General Category)
20 to 33 years ( for OBC )
20 to 35 years ( for SC/ST )
Age relaxation for PWD candidates will be as per government norms.

Selection Procedure For Union Bank Officer Recruitment 2024-
Phase I-
Phase 1 consists of Online written test followed by Descriptive test

Each test will have a separate timing as mentioned above. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer. No minimum qualifying marks for individual subject as well as for aggregate (overall) are prescribed. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank will be shortlisted from the list of all candidates arranged in descending order of aggregate marks scored.
2. Descriptive Paper of English Language (Letter writing & Essay) – The above online test will be immediately followed by descriptive test of 25 marks consisting of 2 questions with a duration of 30 minutes. The test may be evaluated by an automated scoring mechanism for identifying features related to writing proficiency. This scoring mechanism is duly validated and evaluates proficiency of test takers in writing in English Language in an objective manner as the mechanism does not have any in-built biases for evaluating responses.
Phase II –Local Language Proficiency Test
The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular State, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in the specified opted local language of that State e.g. Marathi, Kannada etc (mentioned in the under given vacancy table against each state/UT). The test for knowledge of specified opted local language will be conducted as a part of selection process. It will be conducted after qualifying the online examination but before joining the Bank. Candidates who fail to qualify the language test will not be offered appointment. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test.
Phase III –Personal Interview (PI)
Merit list of candidates based on the marks obtained by them in Online Examination will be prepared in descending order for the respective categories i.e. SC/ST/OBC/EWS/General. Candidates securing the minimum qualifying marks stipulated for Online Examination and ranking sufficiently high in the order of merit shall be called for personal Interview.
Probation Period
The selected candidates will be on Probation for a period of 2 years of active service from the date of his / her joining the Bank.
SERVICE INDEMNITY BOND:
The selected candidates will be required to execute a Service Indemnity Bond undertaking to serve the Bank for a minimum period of 3 years or to pay the Bank a sum of Rs.2,00,000.00 (Rs. Two Lakh Only) plus applicable taxes as per Government rules in case he / she leaves the Bank before completion of 3 years of active service. Selected candidates will undergo training for one year.
Salary for Union Bank Officer Recruitment 2024:
he starting Basic pay would be Rs.48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920 and such other allowances as may be admissible under the rules in force from time to time in the company. Total emoluments will be approximately Rs. 67,000/- per month . Other benefits such as Pension under New Pension scheme governed by PFRDA, Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance etc. shall be as per rules in force in the Company at the time of appointment. The Officers are also entitled for Company’s / leased accommodation as per norms.
