RRB Recruitment of Ministerial and Isolated Categories
Indian Railways has released it’s notification CEN 03/2019 for the recruitment of various ministerial and isolated categories across different RRBs all over India. There are total 1665 vacant posts all over India, while in RRB Mumbai, there are total 267 vacancies. Please note that all the different posts are not available in all RRB , e.g. posts of Trained teacher, post graduate teachers are not available in many RRBs including Mumbai. So please read page no. 85 -99 to know availability of different posts in different RRB.

Eligibility –
Details like Different posts, their Age Limit and Educational Qualification required for different posts and Salary details are mentioned in below table.
( Note – Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST category will be there. PWD and Ex-servicemen candidates will get age relaxation as per government norms)

Mode of Payment – Online as well as Offline through SBI Chalan
Application Fees – Rs. 500 ( Rs. 400 will be refunded from this after the candidate appears for Phase 1.
Application fees for SC / ST / PWD is Rs.250 , and entire amount refundable after appearing for Phase 1.
For any correction after submission of the form, candidate need to pay Rs.250 again for the correction. So, Please fill up the form carefully.
Please keep the following things ready before starting application. Scanned Documents in JPEG Format to be kept ready before filling the application In order to ensure speedy filling up of application by the candidates, they should keep the following documents in digital form before logging into the application page.
- Candidate Photograph in Color: JPEG image of size 20KB to 50KB
- Candidate Signature: JPEG image of size 10KB to 40KB
- . SC/ST Certificate (Only for candidates seeking Free Travel Pass): JPEG image of size 50 to 100KB ( Please note, only SC / ST candidates need to upload caste certificate , while applying. )
- Scribe Photo (wherever applicable): JPEG image of size 20 KB to 50 KB
Selection Process –
The selection process includes only single phase computer based test ( CBT ), However RRB reserves the right to conduct additional CBTs if considered necessary for all or for a limited number of candidates as may be deemed fit by RRBs. CBT will be followed by document verification and medical tests, after phase 1 results and before the final shortlisting of candidates.
Computer Based Test (CBT) –
Objective type CBT & the section wise number of questions and marks are detailed below. Its a test of 100 questions and 100 marks.

There shall be negative marking in CBT (Computer Based Test/Examination) and marks shall be
deducted for each wrong answer @ 1/3 of the marks allotted for each question.
There will be skill test for posts like stenographer, translator. There will be performance test for teachers.

Shortlisting of candidates for Document Verification and empanelment will be made strictly on merit based on the performance of the candidate in the CBT subject to securing minimum qualifying marks prescribed for their communities. Minimum qualifying mark prescribed for UR/EWS is 40%, OBC & SC is 30% and ST is 25%. If sufficient candidates for PwBD are not available 2 marks relaxation in minimum qualifying marks will be given.

1.the applications are for School teaching
2. As they are for schools BEd or TET or equivalent is necessary.
3. If you are applying for RRB Mumbai zone, there are no vacancies for teachers in it, majority of vacancies are for clerical cadre posts.

Better apply for RRB NTPC exam then. In RRB Mumbai no vacancies are there for teachers.

Teaching posts are not available under rrb Mumbai, but they are available in other RRBs…you have to apply for different RRB

You are eligible as for OBC the age limit is upto 36 years, but plz check the cut off date mentioned in the official notification, as I don’t know your birth date.

JUst check if you fit into age limit or not….for stenographer post you are eligible but age limit is 30 years.

you can apply, but there are no vacancies for Teachers in RRB Mumbai zone…you have to apply for other zones like Kolkata, allahbad etc
