IBPS PO 2017 Notification released

Hi friends,
Finally As expected, the much delayed IBPS PO notification is out today on the official IBPS Website. The details are as follows
Application Details-
Eligibility – Any Graduation / bachelor’s degree / Candidates appeared for final year exam in 2017, if they get their result before the last date of application, they can apply for the exam.
Age limit – 20 to 30 years ( for General Category)
20 to 33 years ( for OBC )
20 to 35 years ( for SC/ST )

Application fees – Rs.600 ( Rs 100 for SC/ST category and for Physically Disabled or Ex-Servicemen) Only online payment mode available
Application Starts on – 16th August 2017
Last date of application – 5th September 2017

Please keep following things ready while filling up the form
- Passport photograph scan– Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred).
- Size of file should be between 20kb–50kb
- Signature Scan– Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred).
- Size of file should be between 10kb – 20kb.

Selection Procedure-
PHASE I – Preliminary Exam
Exam will take place tentatively on 7th/8th October or 14th/15th October 2017

Negative Marking – 1/4th or 0.25 marks
There will be sectional cut offs and overall cutoffs , so scoring high in one or two particular sections will not be enough. You need to perform well in every section at least till the cut off level.
Preliminary exam is just elimination round to get selected further for mains. Only the people who clear Pre exam round will get shortlisted for the next round of mains exam. The list of shortlisted candidate will be available on the website, and only these candidates will get the call letter/admit card for the mains.
Scores obtained in preliminary exam will not be counted further.
PHASE II – Mains Examination
This year IBPS has done a change matching SBI PO exam of this year, and like SBI PO they have added descriptive test in the exam.
Phase II consists of two parts
- Objective Test
Exam will be conducted on 26th November 2017.

Sectional and overall cutoffs will be there in the above both phases
- Descriptive Test
Descriptive test of 25 marks ( Letter/Essay writing) will be there. Duration 30 minutes with 2 questions.
Candidate need to secure just qualifying marks in the descriptive decided by the bank
PHASE III –
Interview – 100 Marks
The minimum qualifying marks will be more than 40 for interview.
Final Selection will be on the basis of Marks obtained in Phase II & Phase III, and the weightage is 80 % for Mains Exam and 20 % for Interview.
