Selection Procedure for IOB LBO Recruitment 2025-

The selection process consists of Online Written Test, Screening and Interview.
Online Written Test:
Online written test will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer.
(i) Objective Test: The duration of objective test is 2 hours and it consists of 4 Sections of total 120 marks. There will be separate timing for every section.

Penalty for Wrong Answers: There will be no penalty for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests. Sectional Marks will not be maintained for Online Written Examination.
Screening: Online application and documents of candidates, who are shortlisted based on performance in online examination, will be placed before the Screening Committee. The Screening Committee constituted by the Bank will examine whether the candidates fulfil the required eligibility criteria of experience. The Committee will match the job profile submitted by the candidates (certified by their existing/ previous employer(s) with whom they are/were employed) with the job profile of Scale-I Generalist Officer of the State Bank of India. In case their job profile does not match substantially or is different than the job profile of Scale-I Generalist Officer of State Bank of India, then the application of the candidate will be summarily rejected. The decision of the Bank in this regard would be final and binding on all candidates. No representation or correspondence will be entertained by the Bank in this regard. The candidates, who fulfil the required experience as decided by the Screening Committee, will be called for  interview.
Interview:
Candidates will have to score minimum qualifying marks in interview to be considered for final selection. The minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank.

Merit List: Merit list for selection will be prepared in descending order on the basis of scores obtained in interview only. Merit list will be drawn State wise, category wise.

Final Selection 

The candidates will have to qualify both in Online Written Test and Interview separately. The marks obtained in Online written test, will be added to the marks obtained in Interview for preparing the final merit list. Final merit list would be prepared based on normalization of marks scored in Online Written Test and Interview with 80:20 weightage respectively.

Salary for IOB LBO Recruitment 2025-

Presently, the starting basic pay is 48,480/- in the scale of 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-
67160-2680/7-85920 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I plus 2 advance increments
(For work experience of 2 years or more in officer cadre in any Scheduled Commercial Bank/
Regional Rural Bank). The official will also be eligible for D.A, H.R.A/ Lease rental, C.C.A, PF,
Contributory Pension Fund i.e., NPS, LFC, Medical Facility etc. and other allowances & perquisites

The final merit list (State wise and category wise) is arrived at after aggregating (out of 100) converted marks of Online Written test and Interview. Selection will be made from the top ranked candidates in merit list prepared on State wise and Category wise.

Scheme of Examination :

  1. The online exam can be given in English , Hindi and State Local language (e.g. Marathi in Maharashtra) .
  2. Those who qualify for selection and produce 10th standard mark sheet/ certificate indicating the official language as one of the subjects will not be subjected to any Language test. In case of others (qualified for selection and waitlist), Language Proficiency Test will be conducted at respective Regional Offices after provisional selection but before issue of offer letter. Candidates not found to be proficient in official local language would be disqualified.
  3. LPT will be of Qualifying Type. The candidates provisionally selected/waitlisted from the On-line Test will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT).
  4. LPT will be conducted in the Official Language of the State (Regional Office) concerned (Annex-II). Candidate not proficient in the Official/Local Language would be disqualified.
  5. Final selection will be on the basis of candidate’s performance in the online Main examination in the order of merit and biometric verification. The decision of the Bank in this regard will be final. Final Select list of the candidates who have provisionally qualified for selection will be made available on the Bank’s website. Salary / Emoluments –

3.General Awareness :

Knowledge of Current affairs, Indian geography, culture and history of India including freedom struggle, Indian Polity and constitution, Indian Economy, Environmental issues concerning India and the World, Sports, General scientific and technological developments etc.

4.General Science :

Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences (up to 10th Standard CBSE syllabus)

 

Phase – 2 – CBT

CBT will be in two parts , A and B.

part A will be aptitude test of mathematics, english, reasoning and general awareness like CBT 1, part B will the test based on the selected trade.

Part A will be of 90 minutes with 100 questions with 100 marks

Part B will be 60 minutes with 75 questions and 75 marks

there will be 1/3rd negative marking for each wrong answer.

The section wise distribution given in the above table is only indicative and there may be some variations in the actual question papers.

Phase 3

CBAT – Computer Based Aptitude test will be conducted for the candidates shortlisted on the basis of trheir performance in Phase2.

 

Phase 4

Phase 4 will be of document verification for the selected candidates. Candidates are selected for phase 4 on the basis of their score in Phase 2 ( part A) (70% weightage) and phase 3 (30% weightage).

Salary for Assistant Loco Pilot  –

Basic salary is Rs.19900, The gross remuneration will be approx. Rs.35400 per month
