Selection Procedure for Indian Oil Recruitment 2021-

  • Selection shall be on the basis of performance of the candidates on the basis of marks obtained by them in the Written Test (Duration 90 Minutes) and meeting notified eligibility criteria.
  • The Written Test will comprise of 100 questions with Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) consisting of four option with one correct option. The questions would be in bilingual i.e. English & Hindi. Written test will be conducted tentatively on 21st March 2021.

Selection process includes 3 steps:-

  • Exam is descriptive type and will be conducted offline (pen & paper mode). It will be a test of essay or letter writing in English or any other official Indian State languages.
  • Exam carries 50 marks and exam duration will be 30 hour. Tier 2 is qualifying in nature.

 

  Tier-1 Exam Syllabus

Part-1: General Intelligence & Reasoning

  • It would include questions of non-verbal type. The test will include questions on similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.

Part 2 :-English Language

  • Candidates’ understanding of the basics of English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. and writing ability would be tested.

Part-3: Numerical Aptitude

  • This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc

 

Part-4: General Awareness

  • Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

Selection Procedure for RBI Grade B Officer Recruitment 2021-

Selection for the aforementioned posts will be done through ONLINE examinations in Phase – I and Phase – II and interview.

1) Phase-I online Examination (Objective Type):

This will comprise a single Paper for 200 marks. The Paper will consist tests of

  1. General Awareness
  2. English Language
  3. Quantitative Aptitude
  4. Reasoning

A composite time of 120 minutes will be given for answering. However, separate time will be allotted for each
test. Other detailed information regarding the examination will be given in an Information Handout, which will be made available for the candidates to download along with the Admission letter for examination from the RBI website. Candidates have to secure minimum marks separately for each test as well as in aggregate, as may be prescribed by the Board. Candidates, who secure minimum marks separately for each Test, as prescribed, will be shortlisted for Phase-II of the examination based on the aggregate marks obtained in Phase-I. The minimum aggregate cut-off marks for being shortlisted for Phase-II of the examination will be decided by the Board in relation to the number of vacancies. Roll No. of the candidates shortlisted for Phase-II examination will be published on RBI web-site, tentatively within a week after Phase-I examination.

For both Paper I and III, there will be 30 questions and 50 marks for Objective questions (some questions carrying 2 marks each and some carrying 1 mark each). In case of Descriptive questions, 6 questions will be asked, of which candidates will be required to attempt 4 questions (2 of 15 marks each (with difficulty level) and 2 of 10 marks each). In case, candidate answers more than 4 questions in descriptive, first 4 shall be evaluated.

Interview :

Interview: Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, based on aggregate of marks obtained in Phase-II (Paper-I +Paper-II +Paper-III). The minimum aggregate cut off marks for being shortlisted for Interview will be decided by the Board in relation to the number of vacancies. Roll No. of the candidates shortlisted for interview will be published on RBI website at appropriate time and interview call letters will be sent on registered email ID. Interview will be of 75 marks. Candidate shall be required to undergo Psychometric Test conducted by the Bank before appearing for the Interview. No marks will be allotted for the same and this will not form part of the final selection criteria. Candidate may opt for interview either in Hindi or English. Final Selection will be through merit list which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in Phase II examination and interview and grace marks as applicable as per extant rules.

Salary for RBI Grade B Officer Recruitment 2021

Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of ₹35,150/-p.m. in the pay scale of Rs. 35150-1750(9)-50900-EB-1750 (2) – 54400-2000(4)-62400 (16 years) applicable to Officers in Grade B and they will also be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family allowance and Grade Allowance as per rules in force from time to time. At present, initial monthly gross emoluments are ₹83254/- (approx).  The House Allowance of 15% of Basic Pay will be paid, if accommodation is not provided by the Bank.
