Selection Process-

  1. Candidates interested in joining BHEL as Engineer/Executive Trainee will have to appear for a Computer Based Examination. Based on the Examination Marks and requirement, candidates will be shortlisted for Interview in order of merit in the ratio of 1:7to the number of vacancies in each discipline and Category. Physically Challenged candidates will be accorded upto 25% relaxation below the cut-off marks in their respective categories for being shortlisted for
  2.  The final merit list shall be prepared on the basis of 75% weightage to Examination Score & 25% weightage to Interview Stage.

 

TRAINING & EMOLUMENTS:

Candidates joining BHEL as Engineer/Executive Trainees will undergo training for one year. During training period, basic pay of Rs 50,000/- in the scale of pay of Rs 50,000-1,60,000/-will be paid. After successful completion of training, the trainees will be absorbed as Engineers/Executives in the scale of pay of Rs 60,000-1,80,000/-with a basic pay of Rs 60,000/-.Besides Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance (Currently 10.0% of Basic Pay), Perks and other Allowances (31% of Basic Pay) and benefits such as Leave, Medical facilities for self and dependent family members, Provident Fund, Gratuity, Performance Related Pay, Uniform, Subsidized Canteen Facilities, Company’s accommodation or HRA etc. will be admissible as per Company Rules as applicable from time to time. The approximate CTC is Rs 12.0 Lakhs per annum for ETs.

PHASE I – Preliminary Exam

Each test will have a separate timing as mentioned above. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 10 times the numbers of vacancies. subject to availability) will be shortlisted for the Main Examination from the list of all candidates arranged in descending order of aggregate marks scored.

Scores obtained in preliminary exam will not be counted further.

 

PHASE II – Mains Examination

Test of specified opted local language:

Those who qualify for selection and produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be subjected to any Language test. In case of others (qualified for selection), specified opted local language test will be conducted after provisional selection but before joining. Candidates not found to be proficient in specified opted local language would be disqualified.

Provisional Selection (Subject to qualifying specified opted local language). The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for the selection and only the aggregate marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II) will be considered for preparation of the final merit list. Provisional selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the test (main examination).

Salary/Emoluments- 

The starting Basic Pay is Rs. 13075.00. The total starting emoluments of a Clerical Cadre employee payable at Metro like Mumbai will be around Rs.25,000/- per month inclusive of D.A.,other allowances at the current rate and two additional increments for newly recruited graduate junior associate.

Selection Process –

Salary / Emoluments-

A monthly stipend of Rs.35000, after successful completion of training candidate will be hired and will be given a salary of Rs.56100 of scale 10 along with other allowances and benefits  like TA, HRA etc as per the government norms.
