RBI Grade B Officer Recruitment 2022 notification is declared for recruitment of 238 vacancies of Grade B – General posts. Applications are invited from eligible candidates before 18th April 2022. The recruitment details are as follows.

Eligibility Criteria for RBI Grade B Officer Recruitment 2022 :-

Age Limit :- Minimum 21 Years , Maximum 30 Years

Age relaxation As follows:- OBC 3 Years, SC/ST 5 Years. Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen and PWD candidates will be as per government norms.

For candidates possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualification, upper age limit will be 32 and 34 years respectively.

Educational Qualification –

Graduation in any discipline /Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) or Post-Graduation / Equivalent technical qualification with minimum 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters / years.

Selection Procedure for RBI Grade B Officer Recruitment 2022-

Selection for the aforementioned posts will be done through ONLINE examinations in Phase – I and Phase – II and interview.

1) Phase-I online Examination (Objective Type): 

It will be conducted tentatively on 28th May 2022.

This will comprise a single Paper for 200 marks. The Paper will consist tests of

  1. General Awareness
  2. English Language
  3. Quantitative Aptitude
  4. Reasoning

A composite time of 120 minutes will be given for answering. However, separate time will be allotted for each
test. Other detailed information regarding the examination will be given in an Information Handout, which will be made available for the candidates to download along with the Admission letter for examination from the RBI website. Candidates have to secure minimum marks separately for each test as well as in aggregate, as may be prescribed by the Board. Candidates, who secure minimum marks separately for each Test, as prescribed, will be shortlisted for Phase-II of the examination based on the aggregate marks obtained in Phase-I. The minimum aggregate cut-off marks for being shortlisted for Phase-II of the examination will be decided by the Board in relation to the number of vacancies. Roll No. of the candidates shortlisted for Phase-II examination will be published on RBI web-site, tentatively within a week after Phase-I examination.

For both Paper I and III, there will be 30 questions and 50 marks for Objective questions (some questions carrying 2 marks each and some carrying 1 mark each). In case of Descriptive questions, 6 questions will be asked, of which candidates will be required to attempt 4 questions (2 of 15 marks each (with difficulty level) and 2 of 10 marks each). In case, candidate answers more than 4 questions in descriptive, first 4 shall be evaluated.

Interview :

Interview: Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, based on aggregate of marks obtained in Phase-II (Paper-I +Paper-II +Paper-III). The minimum aggregate cut off marks for being shortlisted for Interview will be decided by the Board in relation to the number of vacancies. Roll No. of the candidates shortlisted for interview will be published on RBI website at appropriate time and interview call letters will be sent on registered email ID. Interview will be of 75 marks. Candidate shall be required to undergo Psychometric Test conducted by the Bank before appearing for the Interview. No marks will be allotted for the same and this will not form part of the final selection criteria. Candidate may opt for interview either in Hindi or English. Final Selection will be through merit list which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in Phase II examination and interview and grace marks as applicable as per extant rules.

Salary for RBI Grade B Officer Recruitment 2022

Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of ₹ 55,200/-p.m. in the pay scale of Rs. 55200-2850(9)-80850-EB-2850 (2) – 86550-3300(4)-99750 (16 years) applicable to Officers in Grade B and they will also be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family allowance and Grade Allowance as per rules in force from time to time. At present, initial monthly gross emoluments are  Rs.1,08,404/-p.m. (approximately) The House Allowance of 15% of Basic Pay will be paid, if accommodation is not provided by the Bank.
