MPSC Recruitment Notification 2020 is out..!! Maharashtra Public Service Commission, MPSC has invited applications from eligible graduates for different posts in different departments of Maharashtra State Government.

  • Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP)
  • Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies
  • Deputy Chief Executive Officer
  • Block Development Officer (BDO)
  • Tahsildar
  • Superintendent State Excise Department
  • F.A.S (Maharashtra Finance, Audit & Account Service)
  • Chief Officer (Nagar Palika/ Nagar Parishad) (I & II)
  • Assistant Commissioner of Sales Tax
  • Naib Tahsildar etc.

Total No of Vacancies :- 200

Eligibility :-

Age Limit :-

19 to 38 Years

Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC & 5 years for SC/ST candidates will be there.

Age relaxation for PWD / Ex-servicemen as per government guidelines.

Educational Qualification :-

Candidate should have completed graduation/Bachelor’s degree from recognised university or institution.

Candidates appearing in the last year of graduation can apply, but their graduation scorecard should be available at the time of Prelim exam results.

Selection Procedure-

Selection process is conducted in 3 phases.

  1. Preliminary Exam – 400 marks

The exam will be held on 5th April 2020.

1. General Studies (GS) 100 200 2 hours
2. Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) 80 200 2 hours

Note1/3 negative marking system is applicable for both the papers. Questions are set in both Marathi as well as English medium.

 

  1. Mains Exam –800 marks

Exam will be held tentatively in August 2020.

1/3 negative marking system is applicable for all objective GS papers.  In every mains exam paper, the qualifying marks for open category candidates is 45 and for reserved category candidates it is 40.

 

  1. Interview – 100 marks

Syllabus

Preliminary Syllabus:

It consists of two papers i.e.General Studies (GS) and Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT)

  • General Studies (GS): Current affairs, History, Geography, Polity and governance, Economy, Social Development, Environment, Science.
  • CSAT:
    (a) General mental ability, Basic numeracy
    (b) LR (Logical reasoning) and analytical ability, Decision making and problem-solving
    (c) English Comprehension, Interpersonal skills including communication skills, etc.

Main Syllabus:

  • Basic Marathi and English language
  • History, Geography, and Agriculture
  • Indian polity and laws
  • Human resource development and human rights
  • Science and Technology and Economy

Interview: Overall Personality

Eligibility required for the post opted his/her knowledge level of social and national issues, awareness regarding events occurring around him/her, capacity to take decisions, presence of mind, etc. factors are considered.

 

Salary –

Grade A posts – Upto Rs.39100 per month

Grade B posts- Upto Rs.34800 per month
